1 Hour Session

  • Service Overview:  This is for people who are uncertain about what enterpriseGY can do for them.
  • Things to think about:  How much money do you need to live on and how much will it cost to set up your business?
  • Next step:  Do they want to take this further?

Is it for me?

Half day session

  • A "good" idea?:  What makes a good idea?  It does not "have" to be new or radical.  This will test the customers' business idea.
  • Pros and cons:  What are the negatives of running your own business as well as the positivies?
  • The Law:  What are the legal implications of starting up a business?  What are the differences between the various types of business structures availale eg. sole trader, partnership, limited company?

Start your business!

 Day 1

  • Business planning overview:  What makes a business successful, what is your vision for your business, what laws apply?
  • Market research:  What do your customers want, how many of them are there and who are your competitors?

Day 2

  • Marketing:  How are you going to get your message across, what are you going to deliver and at what price?
  • Sales:  How do you "close" a deal, what sales techniques work best for you?

Day 3

  • Finance:  How much money do you need, where is it coming from and are you going to make a profit?
  • Bookkeeping:  What financial information do you need to keep and how will you know if your business is under control?

Day 4

  • Operations:  How will you run your business day-to-day and how will you grow?
  • Completing the business plan:  Pulling together all the skills learnt during the course.
