80% of New Nuclear is non-nuclear

EDF Energy intends to build four new UK EPR reactors with the first operational at Hinkley Point by 2017. Such major investment will generate significant commercial opportunities for local companies wishing to become an essential part of the supply chain.

 
To deliver a project of this size they need to procure a wide range of contracts across all sectors, including engineering, construction, transport and services, with many of their contracts being open to non-nuclear specialists.
 
Both the Norfolk and Suffolk Chambers are working closely with EDF Energy in communicating to the business community at large the opportunities around New Nuclear Build.
